The Principality of Noel was one of the former States of Rodenia. It existed as an independent state from 1672-1855, and was a precursr to the modern country of Noel. The country was last ruled by Princess Christina of Noel, who ruled from 1798-1855. She died childless, leaving the throne to her nephew, Giovanni II of Viola, who led a personal union between both states. In 1880, Queen Isabella of Viola officially united Noel with Viola.
